General Testing Procedure for Measurement of Dimension

Purpose
To lay down the procedure for the Measurement of Dimension.

Procedure
  • This procedure is to measure the dimension of object that is Length, Width/Breadth, Height, Diameter and thickness.
  • Length: Select 10 samples or as mentioned in specification. Measure the Length of sample in mm using Calibrated Vernier calipers having a least count 0.01 mm.
  • Width/Breadth: Select 10 samples or as mentioned in specification. Measure the Width/Breadth of sample in mm using Calibrated Vernier calipers having a least count 0.01 mm.
  • Height: Select 10 samples or as mentioned in specification. Measure the Height of sample in mm using Calibrated Vernier calipers having a least count 0.01 mm.
  • Diameter: Select 10 samples or as mentioned in specification. Measure the Diameter of sample in mm using Calibrated Vernier calipers having a least count 0.01 mm.
  • Thickness: Select 10 samples or as mentioned in specification. Measure the Thickness of sample in mm using Calibrated Vernier calipers having a least count 0.01 mm.
